Above Green Fields by Bill BoardmanThis month’s offering is Bill Boardman’s nostalgic poem ‘Above Green Fields’.  Bill’s poem gets our second book of East Leeds stories off to a good start. Bill and his wife, Anne, lived their early married life just off Easy Road in East Leeds. Read it a couple of times – no read it three times, it’s worth it.

Great Poem. Magic memories. Ex 10 Dial Terrace.

The poem is correct, there is now no way to tell where our old terrace house was, where kick-out ball was played every night, winter or summer. Cold nights layed flat on the lavatory roof! As long as you weren’t caught, twas a great night.
